Terms of Service

Effective date: October 18, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of startingpointhub.com and the StartingPoint Hub membership (the “Service”). The Service is operated by Illico AS & TC, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company, doing business as StartingPoint Hub (“we,” “us” or “our”). By creating an account, buying a membership or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What StartingPoint Hub is, and is not

• StartingPoint Hub provides general educational information about living in the United States.
• We are not a law firm, and we do not give legal, immigration, tax, financial or medical advice. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client or any other professional relationship.
• We are not a notario, immigration consultant or accredited representative, and we do not prepare, review or file immigration forms.
• We are not affiliated with any government agency. Government forms are free from the official agencies.
• Laws and procedures change often and differ by state. Always confirm information with the official agency and, for your own situation, a licensed attorney or DOJ-accredited representative.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy a membership.
• You agree to give accurate account information and to keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One membership is for one person. Do not share your login or copy member content for others.

3. Memberships, billing and automatic renewal

• Starter Pass: a one-time payment of $19.00 for 6 months of access. It does not renew automatically.
• Monthly membership: $5.00 per month. It renews automatically every month and your payment method will be charged $5.00 each month until you cancel.
• Prices are in U.S. dollars. Applicable sales tax may be added at checkout.
• Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number.
• We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any price change for your membership.

4. Cancellation

• You can cancel the Monthly membership online at any time from your account page, with no phone call needed.
• When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
• You can also cancel by emailing hello@startingpointhub.com.

5. Refunds

If you are not satisfied, email hello@startingpointhub.com within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund of that payment. Otherwise, payments are not refundable except where required by law.

6. Our content

• All content on the Service, including guides, checklists, text and design, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright.
• You may read and print member content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, republish or share it.
• Links to government and third-party websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by trying to access accounts or systems without permission, scraping or copying content in bulk, uploading harmful code, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Disclaimers

The Service and all information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any result from using the information, including the outcome of any application to a government agency.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on the information on the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $100.

10. Termination

We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and cancel your membership at any time.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make important changes, we will post the new Terms on this page and notify members by email before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.
