This Privacy Policy explains how Illico AS & TC, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company, doing business as StartingPoint Hub (“we,” “us” or “our”), collects, uses and protects your information when you use startingpointhub.com (the “Service”).

Our promise

• We never ask about your immigration status, and we do not want you to send us immigration documents.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We collect only what we need to run the Service.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, username and password (stored in encrypted form).
• Membership and billing information: your membership plan, payment history and the billing address you enter at checkout. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe; we do not see or store your full card number.
• Messages you send us: such as emails to hello@startingpointhub.com.
• Technical information: your IP address, browser type and pages visited, which our security tools and hosting provider record to protect the site and prevent fraud.
• Cookies: small files that keep you logged in and remember your language choice. We do not use advertising cookies.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and membership.
• To process payments and send receipts and account emails (for example, password resets and renewal notices).
• To answer your questions and improve our guides.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under agreements that limit how they use it:

• Stripe for payment processing.
• Hostinger for website hosting.
• Resend for sending account and membership emails.
• Wordfence for website security.

We may also disclose information if required by law, such as a valid court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is active. After you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons (usually up to 7 years for payment records).

Your choices and rights

• You can view and update your account information on your account page.
• You can ask us to give you a copy of your information or to delete it by emailing hello@startingpointhub.com. We will respond within 30 days.
• You can unsubscribe from any non-essential emails using the link in the email.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption, strong password storage, two-factor login for administrators and security monitoring. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Accounts are for adults 18 and older.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. If changes are important, we will notify members by email.
